Environment for scripts

Hi

I've just found out the hard way (because scripts would not run when bound to a key) that the environment for script when run via a key-combination is different.

Unfortunately some variables that some scripts rely on are missing (PYTHONPATH is an example).

Is there a way to set up i3 in such a way that a certain subset of environment variables are preserved for the scripts when running as key-bindings?
