Who in heck does Google sell my data to?

Recently, I purchased a HiFi amplifier which was Hitachi branded. I googled the model a few times, and then days passed. Today I received an email that made it past the spam filter, with these contents:

We know this message came to you as a surprise. But we are happy to announce to you that there is a gift package from Hitachi limited specially for you.

And then the usual reply for more details kinda thing. The other weird thing is that this was sent to my outlook address, not my gmail (google) one. I feel like this isn't a coincidence, do you all happen to have an explanation?
