/u/Malfrus on Why bother discussing politics on reddit?
Because I genuinely enjoy it.
Does it ever effect change?
It can, especially when you are arguing with someone who doesn't even understand their positions and only believe in it because the MSM or their professor tells them to believe the other side is bad.
It seems to me everyone goes in with their own bias, has no intent to listen.
No doubt people go in with their own bias, but it all comes down to how much they believe and understand their positions, and are open minded enough to listen to your reasoning behind your positions.
only post in subreddits that agree with their bias.
Most subreddits are very far left and you can be(and some people have been.) Banned for having conservative opinions, so it is nice to have a place to discuss politics with people you agree with on certain subjects without having to worry about being constantly berated, attacked, or even banned from the subreddit.
