ViewSonic PA503S (horizontal red lines)

Brand new projector. Was in the box unopened for several months before installation. Set up a few days ago. Image on screen has 4 large red lines appearing over picture. Lines are horizontal from right to left and all are the same width. How do I get rid of these lines? The projector is about 10 feet from the screen so lines are about 6 inches tall. Ugh! There is no mention of this symptom in the PDF manual.
