Horror movies with as few jump scares as possible, and preferably less realistic scenarios?

I have a wild imagination, and generally tend to avoid horror movies due to it as well as my dislike of jump scares. Now a friend absolutely wants to do a horror movie night, and given my quirks I am the one to pick the movie.

Does anyone have suggestions on good horror movies (without any over-the-top gore) that feature few jump scares, and preferably have unrealistic scenarios (like taking place on another planet fighting ghosts), so my imagination is less likely to start feeding off it?
