Budget Grow tents
Thought I'd put together a list for some growroom gear I hear people asking about quite a bit. This is just a quick list of a few 2x4 grow tents, these lists will be getting more detailed and have more range in the near future. I did throw in one 'non-budget' option, which is the Gorilla Grow tent, because I figured I may as well throw in one 'high quality' tent.
Grow Tents-2'x4'
- x1 8 inch round vent (exhaust)
- x2 6 inch round vent (exhaust)
- x2 3 inch round vent (cords)
- 2 x Rectangle vent 12" x 7.1"
- 1 x Rectangle vent 20" x 7.1"
The 5 round vents have 'socks' with cinch ties on both inside and out to prevent light leaks. The 3 rectangular vents are all located at the bottom (to bring in fresh air) and can be covered by flaps on the outside to prevent light leaks.
Apollo Horticulture 24"x48"x60" grow tent
While I don't have the 2x4, I do have a grow tent made by Apollo and I love it. I bought a Yaheetech (cheap tent from ebay) tent afterwards and to be honest, I would have preferred another Apollo Horticulture tent. At least I'll know next time!
- Vents on vents on vents
- x1 8 inch round vent (exhaust)
- x2 6 inch round vent (exhaust)
- x2 3 inch round vent (cords)
- 2 x Rectangle vent 10" x 5"
- 1 x Rectangle vent 13" x 5"
- All metal frame construction. No plastic corners here!
- much like the Viparspectra tents, the Round vents have 'cinch socks' on each side to keep light from going in or coming out, and the rectangular vents are mesh, located at the bottom and have covers to prevent light leaks when not in use.
Gorilla Grow Tent 2'x4'x6'7" ($228)
These tents cost a bit more than the other brands, but are worth the investment from what I've heard. Personally, I'm fine with my Apollo tents, but if you wanna make sure that your tent can hold your lights, filter, etc., gorilla strength should be enough to give you peace of mind!
