Should I take a $10K loan with $23K in credit card debt, $8K on a loan and $18K on a car note on $4800 a month?
So, basically I am a financial slackjawed idiot so don't assume any depth to my understanding of money matters.
Like I said, $23K currently on cards, $18k car note, $8K on a loan. I make roughly $4800 a month. I am officially 5 weeks away from being homeless due to a cascade of unfortunate events that interrupted cash flow. Currently my plan is effectively to be homeless for a month so I can get extra money and get my bills back on track.
My intention for the loan would be cutting into the credit card debt. Basically pay off two cards completely and cut 'em up/suspend them until further notice way down the road.
Would this benefit me at all? Short term/long term?
