every hero in FH as they relate to Roman

I spent 7 goddamn hours writing and revising this shit to fit Roman’s lore, y’all better appreciate this shit

Warden: Roman’s former commander in the Iron Legion. He taught Roman many techniques and supported Roman every step of the way. He is a sort of replacement of Roman’s abusive and alcoholic father, and truly appreciates Roman.

Peacekeeper: Roman’s current fiance. They met on tinder and got drunk together, trading blows and stabs before dropping asleep on the same couch. They are furiously in love and have two children, who Roman takes out for ice cream every Sunday.

Conqueror: Roman’s best buddy. They met while Serving in the Iron Legion, and Conqueror used his shield and flail to hold off the enemy and save a wounded Roman. He carried him back to the camp, abandoning his shield and flail. Now that the war has ended, they arrange get-togethers every few weeks to catch up and have a drink.

Lawbringer: Roman’s cousin. He is of few words, but is highly educated and has a degree in criminal justice. He often babysat Roman when Roman’s father was away from home, helping him with homework and teaching him human biology, which Roman says helped him hone his fighting techniques.

Gladiator: Roman’s ex-friend and his wife’s lover. Roman aspires to one day beat Gladiator in one-on-one combat and prove that he can provide for his first children.

Black Prior: Another one of Roman’s army buddies. They met in a bar while on leave, and upon returning to the battlefield formed a dynamic duo of unrelenting offense and impenetrable defense. While Roman does not approve of Vortiger’s fashion, he does not let this small detail interrupt their friendship.

Raider (female): A short-lived subject of Roman’s love after his wife divorced him. They were engaged for a few months and had a child, but after succumbing to drugs, Raider became abusive and sold off their child to a strange cult to buy money for steroids and other enhancement drugs. Roman became enraged and broke things off with raider, and has not spoken to her since.

Warlord: One of Roman’s opponents in war. They met once on the field of battle, and, feeling overconfident, Roman decided to face Warlord one on one. They fought for three days and three nights, punching and headbutting and stabbing each other, one never besting his adversary. Both exhausted, they agreed on a makeshift truce, and went seperate ways with respect for each other. They have not met since.

Valkyrie: Roman’s ex-wife. He describes her as manipulative and cunning, and has a hunch that she fucked his lawyer in order to win custody of the kids, house, and money. Roman hopes one day learn enough about law and, with his cousin Lawbringer, win back custody of the kids.

Berserker: The bartender at Roman’s most frequented bar. He always knows what drink Roman wants and uses his overwhelming charisma to cheer roman up if needed. Roman considers him a friend, but never sees him outside of the bar.

Highlander: Roman’s distant brother. After finding out that Roman’s father had several wives before he met Roman’s mother, roman tracked down his lost siblings and connected with them. Of the three, Highlander is his favorite: They share a love of face-to-face combat, kilts, and ale on a Saturday evening. They frequent the same bar.

Shaman: The second of Roman’s distant siblings. Having been abandoned at an early age, she survived in the cold Icelandic wilderness for years before making friends with the local viking clans and sailing her way to Europe, eventually making her way down to Italy. Her years in the wilderness taught her many natural remedies to common ailments and made her a master of herbs and spices. Roman often visits her, and she always prepares a lot of food for him, much of which Roman takes back to his kids. Roman notes that shaman does however have a lot of strange quirks, and seems to have a not-so-solid grasp on reality, often passing out or mumbling strange runic phrases under her breath. Roman does not let this bother him and the two are always happy to see each other.

Jormungandr: Roman’s long-lost child that he had with Raider. Jormungandr found Roman through years of dedicated searching, and has yet to maintain a solid relationship with his father. Roman admires that Jorm adopted similar fighting techniques to his own, but he does not like being around him because of Jorm’s tendency to overreact and lose his temper, as well as his zealous religious beliefs that stem from his time in a cult.

Kensei: Roman’s uncle. He is very odd and has never approved of Roman, shunning his close-up and brutal fighting techniques. He and Roman are always at odds in everything but their hate for communists.

Nobushi: The third of Roman’s long-lost siblings. Nobushi is the result of a fling Roman’s father had with Zhan Hu, and she has been forced to poledance for money since she was 17 to buy her food and pay her rent. She and Roman share in common a torn childhood and a hate of their careers, and have helped each other on multiple occasions by sending money and offering psychological advice to each other. Nobushi has been working on a degree in medical science and hopes to one day become a doctor.

Orochi: An annoying pest that roman hates with every fiber of his being. He is a filthy weeb who lives in a ramshackle apartment, strewn with manga and sticky anime figures. He considers himself a samurai, and wastes lots of money on Japanese weaponry and armor, and his “master technique” involves just swinging his sword wildly until he kills his opponent. He often helps Shinobi pester Roman for money.

Shugoki: Roman’s father. A former alcoholic, Shugoki abused roman and beat his wife constantly, but has recently realized with mistakes and has sobered up, trying to reconnect with Roman, who is slowly beginning to trust him once more.

Shinobi: Another filthy weeb an a friend of Orochi’s. Lives in an apartment with Orochi and has a crippling addiction to hentai, constantly pestering Roman and Orochi for money to buy more. He runs in a very strange manner and throws a temper every time he doesn’t have the cash to buy more smut.

Aramusha: Roman’s drinking buddy. He is a weeb, but on a much smaller scale than Shinobi and Orochi, owning only a single anime figure and maintaing a respectable job. He lives in a nice apartment and is engaged to Nuxia. They met while Roman was tracking down his siblings in Japan, and became fast friends. They usually only meet at the bar, where they trade jokes and stories late into the night, and vent to each other about their problems.

Hitokiri: A friend of Shaman’s that Roman has only met a few times. They have tried to speak, but Roman never understands the hisses and whispers that Hito communicates with. They do not trust each other in the slightest.

Tiandi: another pest in Roman’s life. He owns a noodle shop that is unexpectedly popular with the locals, but is a chronic mouth-breather that speaks very loudly. This combined with his high-pitched voice results in what Roman calls “autistic screeching,” which annoys the hell out of him.

Jiang Jun: Roman’s grandfather. He constantly tries to push his communist ideas onto Roman and Kensei, and gets irrationally angry when they call him out and argue that communism is fucking stupid. He rarely visits Roman and has tried multiple times to kill Kensei.

Nuxia: Aramusha’s fiance, who Roman has only talked to when visiting Aramusha at his apartment. They are good friends, and share stories and fighting techniques whenever they talk. They have exchanged several recipes for Italian and Chinese food, all of which they use regularly.

Shaolin: Roman’s therapist. Though the sessions are expensive, Roman continues to meet with Shaolin and practices many coping techniques. Being a monk, Shaolin knows many techniques to calm roman and help him cope with his torn past.

Zhan Hu(female): Roman’s adoptive mother. The two share a mutual hate for Roman’s father, and Zhan Hu has adopted Roman as her son. Roman sends her rent money and has been trying to help her find a job to replace her old career as a waitress.
