Stomach flu going around work

A coworker just came through my check out lane (I’m a cashier) and said he’s been out because of a stomach flu. I immediately sanitized my hands even though he isn’t sick anymore. He also said it’s been going around at work, which makes sense because several coworkers have called out. I’m trying not to panic at work but, as y’all understand, that’s hard. Any reassurance to calm my anxiety, or advice? I’ve only had the stomach flu once in my life before and I never want that again.

Sidenote: I suffer from IBS as well so any stomach rumbles (which I get often) terrify me :/
