Which Cyberpunk game should I run for my newbie players?

I've been looking into running a game of Cyberpunk lately and was wondering if I would be better running 2020 or Red. For some context I've been playing TTRPG's for a little over 10 years covering primarily 3.5 and 5e D&D, All Flesh and a bit of Star Wars. However each of the players of the 5E game I'm currently DM'ing are new to TTRPG and as a result have only ever experienced 5E. Is it difficult to adjust to 2020 coming off much more modern games? Or is it better to start running 2020 seeing as the starter kit for Red has only been out for a few months?
