If this election blows up in Johnson’s face, tories will have no one to blame but their own membership

I was just thinking that if Rory Stewart had won the conservative leadership, how much of a walk in the park this election would have been for them. Had the membership not been completely batshit in choosing the biggest liar in the HoC then this would be no contest.
