Edible and decorative plant I that can grow indoors and can tolerate little sunlight during winter.

Hi I want a decorative plant but I also want it to have function for example giving me food, but problem is that I live in Latvia and in winters it's cold and there is very little sunlight. I did try growing lemon from seed and it grew really well in summer but came winter and it dropped leaves and sopped growing, so I would need something that needs less light then lemon. I thought maybe prickly pear would work?
