Shield Remote / Controller Battery Drain (Rechargable Model)

Hi,

My Shield Remote and Controller seem to die quickly even when they are not being used. Because of this, I tend to use my ATV over my Nvidia Shield (among other things).

I have seemingly tried everything to fix them. Not worth replacing it. However, I was curious if other people have problem and if they fixed it.
