A superhero book

So I have an idea for a superhero book. It takes place in Seattle, where one morning in 1987, some people woke up with powers. They were labeled as Hyper-persons and sent on their way without much of a glance because it was such a small amount of people. From those people, there emerged a superhero group called “The Heroes” (Original, huh?)

One night, The Heroes we’re fighting a supervillain, and the entire team died to kill the dude, save for “Guardian”, a hero with Force Field powers. His real name is Percy Morrison. His wife, best friend and best friend’s wife were also part of the team, so when they died he became a single dad, raising his son and his best friend’s kid.

He became a Hyper-persons investigator, and one night investigated a little girl who “witnessed” her father’s death.

Her name is Clover, and she has Telekineses, a power thought to be a myth because of the amount of power someone holding it could have. He adopts her too. 11 years after, they form a new group of Heroes dubbed “the new heroes.” And that’s where the book starts off.

Ian- Scotti’s boyfriend
Serena- Hates Clover and is in love with Rhyder

Side characters:
Jesse- Percy’s son
Nani- Percy’s best friend’s daughter
Victor- Serena’s twin Brother
Haylee- Serena’s best friend
Landon- Victor’s best friend

Villain:
The aptly named “Big Brother” organization that wants to get rid of Hypers once and for all.
