Burnt ends with cooked brisket?

Sorry for a potential silly question but I’m in the process of smoking my first brisket and wife wanted to know if I could still make burnt ends.

I’m passing through the stall right now and figured after it’s does and the rest period could cut up just the point off and make them but didn’t wanna ruin my first brisket neither.
