Dems tune out of impeachment hearings; Republicans tune in

: Republicans (49%) are now more likely to be following impeachment hearings Very Closely than Democrats (42%) and Nones (40%). Two weeks ago, Ds (50%) were far more likely to be following Very Closely than Rs (36%) and Nones (37%).

It's clear what has happened. In the beginning Democrats tuned in to the Schiff show to see how egregiously Trump had broken the law.

They saw nothing but a kangaroo court and witnesses who contradicted themselves and each other.

Republicans were less interested when they thought it would be solid Trump bashing. But before long they realized the Democrats were looking like clowns--perhaps of the Pennywise variety but still clowns--and Trump's favorability was on the rise.

So the audience share reversed. Another way of putting it is, total fail on the Schiff/Pelosi side.
