Can I get a 3D printer without any 3D printing experience?

Question

I'm seriously interested in buying a Creality ender 3 printer, but besides watching some youtube reviews I don't really have any experience with 3D printing. I have some experience in 3D software, like Blender, I know my way around small electronics and basic programming (Arduino and stuff).

Believe it or not, those $240 is a pretty large investment into something that I know nothing about, so I wanted to ask if you think someone like me could get into it (there are no publicly available 3D printers where I live, and none of my friends have any)
