I want to know, do men have a harder time socialising?

I have a feeling the whole "women are fine going years being single (and celibate)" thing to be more than just a difference in sex drives. Like yes, men are hornier on average and want sex and feel manly when they get it. But, I assume that men tend to be lonelier on average too? Doesn't that play a big role in men forming oneitis on women and playing a beta role due to a lack of abundance?
