Decision about getting VR,please give some suggestions.

I only have a 1060 6gb which i guess is the middle ground for index, and i've heard from some people in the same situation. that it runs well and smooth for non graphic intensive games like beatsaber, gorn, etc, it struggles at like no man's sky, without dropping the quality of course.

I'm not planning to upgrade really soon, but i would prefer getting the absolute best vr headset, get it to run decent, rather than getting a cheaper vr,upgrading at a later time, then getting the index,just doesn't seem as efficient.Any other opinions?
