Mega man attack moves

So I just started and I’m using X and sometimes he will do this spin with blades with just a regular attack but I can’t figure out how I’m doing it. Is there a way to do secondary attacks then? How do I do that spin attack he does? It’s not the skill it’s just an attack. Also is there anyway to actually aim his regular buster attack besides trying to move the character in that direction? For example I just want to be able to hold the attack button down and the aim just moves not the character.
