Manga Help for Newbies

I've been interested in getting into manga for a long time. I am finally just gonna start. I would really appreciate any help or recommendations on finding a few series to buy to introduce me into this genre. I have watched some anime and loved it. Full metal alchemist and neon genesis evangelion are the 2 animes I've seen all episodes and movies. I recently have been able to watch some seasons on Netflix with Naruto and bleach. Aswell as soul eater. I only bring up these shows as ones I really like. I'm going on a shitty trip in a day or 2 and I need some excellent suggestions! Please and thank you! Ps. This is my 1st post and I confess I only schimmed the rules and hastily began my post so I hope this is the appropriate place to post this. If not can someone direct me to a better sub or resource? ✌📚
