Inner knee pain when uptight/on crutches

Does anyone else have pain in their inner leg side of the knee when on crutches? I'm 7 days post op and when I get up to go to the bathroom, get out of bed or anything involving being up and vertical has a throbbing pain in my knee. I don't experience this in my cpm machine or laying down to sleep. It does go away shortly after laying down and icing.

Is this normal?
