Smart Scale Bootie Gains
F 5’6” 39 years old. SW 160 lb, CW 138.2 lb.
A little over a year ago, my husband bought a smart scale that I SWORE I would never stand on.
I made it about two weeks, and then on November 25th 2018 I scanned for the first time.
As you can imagine, I did not like the results. So I started modifying my eating.
I hate the idea of counting calories. I hate restrictive dieting. If I want a cookie or a snickers every day, then I’m going to have one. So I had to experiment and find a plan that worked for me. I know this drove my OCD calorie counting husband mad, but he did a great job being supportive and letting me find my own way.
I started by cutting out most carbs, and saw some results, but they quickly slowed. So I reviewed my diet, and made more adjustments. I realized I was taking in to many calories in snacks and healthy fats. So I cut those back and used to scale to check my progress.
And here I am, one year later. It wasn’t the fastest transformation. It was not the most dramatic. But I found changes that I can sustain for life, and I feel fantastic.
Being active is also a big help. The husband is a gym rat and a little bit of a sadist. So he loves to train me. I’m a self declared cardio bunny, and he HATES cardio. So I get to be the boss on cardio days.
We also hike, love to take our lab for walks and go dancing regularly.
