Best fuel economy van

My girlfriend and I are farmers and are looking to buy a van we can use to deliver product during the summer and then use to tour around in the winter. I’ve been doing some research and it looks like there was a drop off in fuel efficiency after 2015 with newer models getting WORSE efficiency. I’m just curious what everyone’s experiences have been with your vans fuel efficiency.
