One of those days!

Ever get one of those days where you could really do with a witch who has access to the Original immortality spell? Right now please thanks! I'm not even that desperate I'd settle for normal boring vamp blood tbh.

Anyway am rewatching the show and obviously the best season (3) is currently holding my attention, I had some questions I'd love people's opinions on so here goes.

1. When Nik compels Will as he is suicidal, I always find that there are obvious solutions to things like Luciens compulsion. In this case "I am nothing in the face of them", a simple workaround would surely be "You may be nothing now, but stand up and you can become something more over time" or similar?
2. Season 3 gives Rebekah the lovely ripper curse, which is removed by a siphon? I thought it was said somewhere that there are no more siphons (other than the twins obv) except the remaining heretic Valerie so the assumption I made was she did it as let's face it Alaric wouldn't let anyone near his girls whilst they are that young surely?!
3. Last one, whilst Rebekah is ripper mode she seems to be able to hold her own with her brothers in a fight. So are we to assume that the anger of the ripper curse made her stronger or do we assume Rebekah has always been roughly their strength but didn't know it?
