Internal transfer

Started at one of the big4 in September on an Audit intern programme (big mistake) I know it’s only been 3 months but god audit is not for me. The company offer a second intern programme which is rotational (6 month placements in tax, deals ect over a few years) which I am dying to get onto and so frustrated I didn’t just apply for it in the first place! I just can’t stand audit, I’ve had awful experiences at clients since day 1 and I just want out. I requested to transfer internally to the rotational programme and got told in a nutshell “you’re stuck with what you applied for”. Has anyone transferred departments this early?? I really have no idea how this all works but all I know is there’s no way I will be completing the whole of my 6 year audit programme.
