First impressions of the Vapergate Doolee SubOhm tank

This puppy is massive! 27mm base, and 2.5 inches from base to the top of the included drip tip! It says it has a 7ml capacity, but it felt like more when I filled it. I don’t have a syringe, so I couldn’t measure unfortunately.

The tank comes with clear tube and frosted tube glass. One Cleito 120 coil. A coil adapter, and assorted spare bits. First time I’ve had a tank come with a single coil. However one of the selling points is that it works with multiple brands of coil.

This is definitely a tank for high wattage vaping! The included Cleito coil is rated for 100-120w. Using the adapter you can also use Cloud Beast coils, some of which are rated as high as 300w! And it’s got some massive clouds too. There is absolutely nothing discreet about this tank!

I currently have it sitting on my Vaporesso Gen. I was concerned there would be overhang, but it is a perfect fit. It goes right to the very edge, but doesn’t go over. At 27mm it is my widest tank. Also the tallest. Doesn’t quite beat the Skynet Pro for capacity though.

Filling is different than any other tank I own. Part of the top slides back. Not the whole top like the Falcon or Smok. Just the middle part. Then there are two circular holes for filling. This makes it a little trickier to fill than the typical kidney shaped hole. And it definitely would not be dropper friendly.

Coil longevity has the potential for subjectivity. It’s advertised for the Cleito 120 and Smok TFV8 coils, but also fits the Horizon Arco and eLeaf Melo 300 coils. I haven’t experimented, but I’d imagine it would fit any coil that would fit the Baby Cloud Beast. Without a Vapergate branded coil, it’s tough to review coil life.

One drawback to the tank that I see is that the drip tip seems to be proprietary. It’s just a tiny bit smaller than a standard 810. So your stuck with the stock drip tip unless you custom make one.

Overall I’m really enjoying this tank. I’m pretty new to the idea of reviewing, so be kind! I’m gonna put my twist on Pizza Dave’s oven, and say that if I dropped my Doolee in the litter box I would get another one! Coil diversity alone makes this tank a winner!!
