A lot of the threads as of late are just people offering stuff for trades or looking for something. i figured mods should limit these as they drown other threads. maybe just redirect them to the r/pokemontrades subreddit? that's all about trades and is also active. wouldn't think people will have a hard time looking for trading partners over there.

Idk maybe that subreddit has changed but I remember them being super uptight and obnoxious when I was trying to get casual bank ball trades when sun and moon first launched. Terrible experience, not really interested in going back there.
I think the trading threads are fair personally, trading is such a huge part of pokemon that its just as relevant to this sub as anything else. Honestly Id rather see people getting help completing their dex/get pokemon they are after than the other stuff ive seen posted so far anyway
