DAE wonder why text upvotes don't count toward your karma-whore-score?

Seriously. I'm on the front page with a random sci-fi thread and I get nothing for it? 100+ comments and 50+ upvotes, all for naught, but the answers to my questions? I DEMAND POINTS!!
