Lost in a cave

Dream

This could potentially be first person or third person I believe. I dont know what would work better.

You start out alone and lost in a cave with no equipment except for a headlamp.

Your goal is to navigate the cave system without falling to your death or drowning or running out of light before working your way to safety. Along your way you will need to explore or scavenge to pick up items lost by past cave divers. There could be pick ups such as repelling equipment, scuba gear, food, batteries and fire starters etc.

Inventory could have a minimap grows as you uncover more areas. A battery bar that shows how much light you have left. Maybe more than one way out as you could potentially use fire to see where wind drifts are going, or going through waterways with your scuba gear.

Let me know your thoughts please!

The Forrest kind of has this, but with cannibals. It was the most boring part of the game for me, caves tends to be bland to look at and everything looks the same. At least the way The Forrest did it.

Fable 3 also had some caves but they were often lit and had flurishing plant life, they also had ancient architecture to explore which made it interesting. You also didn’t spend a lot of time in them, there was variety.

Skyrim also had a few missions with caves but those caves were enormous and already well lit with buildings and enemies. It felt more like you were outside in the dark than inside a cave.
