Is it a bad idea to learn two languages at once?

I'm interested in Actionscript and I'm working on a small project in it right now, but whenever I come across C++ posts in this subreddit it sparks an urge to get my C++ book out and do some learning in that.

I'm still a rookie programmer and have yet to make anything useful (though my Actionscript project should be just that, and it's going well). I just really enjoy writing out code, doing exercises, so forth.

I've kinda answered my own question I think, but I would like to hear other people's thoughts and experiences on the subject.
