Microphone won't work through new aorus ad27qd monitor

Hey all. As the title states, I can't get my mic to work. In addition (maybe it's relevant) when I first plugged my headset in only the right audio channel worked but that suddenly fixed itself.

I've tried to change the ANS settings and all the input devices but there's nothing.. Neither in discord and in windows. when I plug my mic in my mobo everything works fine.

Did anyone else experience this? Any fixes perhaps?

UPDATE: I turned my PC on today, with the headset still plugged in and it worked. Who knows why.

you might need to update the cable, at least thats what i had to do. got a ethernet ultra speed hdmi cable. i tried 6 different ones that worked for everything else but my new monitor

I looked into the monitor and didn’t see anything about headset support. Most monitors only have audio output, not input, as there’s no way to send a microphone signal back to the computer via the GPU outputs.

There are 2 3,5mm jack's on it. It uses the usb cable I think. They even advertise with the noise cancelling options.
