I was playing basketball today and fell down from a jump and hit the back of my head hard

I got up and my neck kind of hurt but my head didn't hurt much and i sat out for a bit, but I didn't feel any of the symptoms at all so I ended up playing again. This is a few hours after and I'm still fine but not sure. I know you don't necessarily get a concussion from every head collision but this was a BAD fall. Would i feel some symptoms later?

Always be on the safe side. Sometimes you don’t notice symptoms right away, could be some hours or days(or even more).

Check in with doctor if you feel anything at all weird, I kept throwing everything into a “sleep it off or hydration” category. Learn from someone else!

I didn’t realize I had a concussion for 2 days. So it can take some time for symptoms to set in. There is a list of symptoms you could find online (pressure in head, headache, sensitivity to light and noise, nausea, difficulty concentrating and like 8 others). That list was the only thing my doctor asked me to confirm my concussion. Feel better soon!

Symptoms can definitely develop later. I’d take it easy on caffeine, alcohol and more basketball over the next couple days just to be safe.
