Betta keeps other fishes food

My betta keeps eating the sinking pellets I put in his tank for the loach that's in there before the loach can get to them and is now bloated I'm planning on fasting him for about 3 days then giving him some daphina. I just wanted to know if there's anything I can do to kinda help keep him from doing that.
