my girlfriend (16) is scared about having sex and I don´t know how to calm her down and need advice.
First of all I want to clarify that i´m not pushing her nor want to push her to having sex with me. It´s just that me (17) and my GF (16) have been together for quite some time and the subject came up recently. We are both virgins.
A while a go she mentioned that she had spoken with a couple of her friends about something and they all told her she should tell me about it but she didn´t fell comfortable yet so I assured it´s all fine and told her she can tell me later when she´s comfortable about it. I asked her once or twice about it after a few weeks but every time we were interrupted and forgot about it.
Then a few days ago we were late at night talking over the phone. We were having one of these typical late night deep talks and asking questions like "what did you think when you first saw" or "what attracts you the most towards me" and because of one of those questions i remembered and asked again. She again didn´t want to say what she meant back then but after I reassured her that it´s fine and she can talk about anything with me she started to give hints. Threw these hints I found out that she is scared of having her first time having sex (She later asked herself why she gave me these hints and i said that she probably subconsciously wanted me to know and she agreed) I was a bit startled and taken aback and didn´t know what to say at first but I quickly ordered the thoughts inside my head and reassured her that there´s nothing to be worried about, I love her etc. She then asked me when i would be consider myself to "be ready" and told her that the only requirement would be that I´m in love with the person and that i love her. I then asked her the same thing and got the same answer. Then the subject didn´t change anymore because of the big elephant in the room and I again tried to soothe her with words like " i too am scared but probably not for the same reason as boys/men are stressing themselfs with performance pressure (like scared of the possibility in which a he wouldn´t get a boner or some thing like that) and girls/women aren´t confident in their bodies thinking the aren´t pretty enough or don´t have enough tits or ass".
As soon as i ended my sentence the call ended.
5 minutes later she texts me her battery died and we texted for a bit before going to bed. I think I probably shocked her a bit and was i little to direct with my words as that is something a tend to be sometimes and I got the issue spot on as she also mentioned before that she is a "lowland plain" (a German saying regards to (her) breast size).
..................................................................................................................................................................................................................
I recently found out that even though i tried to reassure her many times she´s losing sleep about this situation and i want to talk to her about it as I don´t want her to say awake all night because of this. I want to finitely put her at ease about this situation and convince her that her and her body is beautiful, i lover her the way she is, there´s no need to rush anything especially if she´s uncomfortable and so on and so forth.
I just do not know how as I told her all of this multiple times and don´t want to be too direct with my words again as that could possibly make her even more uncertain about all of this.
So can you give me any advice on how to do it as she´s coming over tomorrow to finish a movie we had begun last time but couldn´t watch till the end (NO Netflix and "chill" situation) and I again want to reiterate That:
- I´m not pushing her nor want to push her to having sex with me.
2.It´s not that were in a rush or anything and would take things.
- I think that she´s putting pressure on herself because of her body or something else.
Because I posted this in another subreddit in which i didn´t get these points across.
Thanks to all of you in advance every comment is very appreciate
