Do "Internet Cafés" exist in Bratislava?

Hello! At home (not Bratislava) we don't have access to unlimited data, we are using 4G home internet from Orange which is limited to 300GB/month. I am a gamer and some of the games nowadays require huge downloads, 100+GBs. My question: Is there a place in BA where I can go with my laptop, have a hot chocolate, and meanwhile download stuff at a good speed? Thanks!

The real question should be Do "Internet Cafés" exist in 2019?

Yes, yes they do. Look at South Korea. You mostly play video games not from your home but from an internet cafe. They have access to all games, have top end PCs, are literally opened 24/7 and are relatively cheap. Also - they serve booze so it's a very social place - ie. it's normal to go out with your friends on the weekend and the destination is internet cafe. You drink, you play some games together etc.

interesting. I've heard about the virtual reality places, is it the same place or different?

A lot of cafes nowadays have wifi and I guess nobody tried to block steam/torrents/whatever there, so you don't have to restrict yourself to internet cafes.

There is game bar in Bratislava most probably the only one survivor of 90’s and 00’s

Storm Game Bar Heydukova 2138/1, 811 08 Bratislava - Staré Mesto-Staré Mesto, Slovakia +421 911 123 233 https://goo.gl/maps/pyunnTZ4fvttzHKW6

I would try that or

Lab.cafe Námestie SNP 484/25, 811 01 Bratislava, Slovakia +421 948 104 883 https://goo.gl/maps/SHE1i24pfSegAHmT9

True, but it's not same place it was 5 years ago. Now its more like advertisement, that gaming part, sure there are pc but not as many as they used to have.

Most of the shopping centers have ridiculously fast wifi, so way to go.

Tell me about it! We live a relatively new street in a village, thus we have no cable because it isn't worth it for the ISPs to install...

I know you pain. Even tho I am living in a 55k town, that has optic fiber internet opposite my house I am not able to connect to the optic cable because there is a road between it and ISP said it's not worth to do it only for me :D

So I am stuck with mobile internet also :)

Lol wtf... At least the mobile internet is a thing nowadays. Got to overlook the ping coming with it tho.

Seriously? I thought they still loved shoving their Internet+TV+landline (in decreasing order of relevance, lol) packages down everyone's throats.

There are many places where there is free wifi, but somewhere have a limit for download. I would try out sales points for mobile operators in big shopping centers. Or Alza cafe in Alza showroom.
