My opinion on ds3 stats

For me it seems some stats are superior to others that it just isn't fair. Like for example on almost all quality weapons dex seems more important than str in that the minimum requirement to use the wpns requires more investment in dex rather than str making dex potentially better to consider over str due to 2H gives 1.5x str if the weapon is not a dual like gotthard twinsword. Luck is almost meaningless unless you kill anri early or else you have to wait till irythill to get a proper blood gem and you can only really use specific weapons like bandit knife, gravewarden twinblades and onikiri and ubadachi or you need a big weapon like the spiked mace and carthus greatsword which are honestly better suited for physical builds rather than to proc bleed. You could use the hollow gem from farron swamp but it would be contradictory and thus stupid because why invest in luck and wait till you get a hollow gem and end up with less dmg than a dex or str or wuality build if not to proc bleed, i mean that's why we invested in luck in the first place right? You may say that it can be an extra luxury for very high level players to add luck to their quality builds for some extra dmg which is true but is that really worth the existence of the stat? Vitality is a stat that i find is just a middle finger to players that like big weapon, not inly do you need more str and endurance for bigger weapons but you need more vitality just to wield them and generally big weapons focus on trading so you need heavier armor so that's also even more vitality. This is one of the reason's i ditched big weapons they are slow, stamina consuming and much much much more demanding. Attunement is nice and i like it better than the ds1 attunement stat because every level is helpful and not just rewards on certain exact numbers but to be honest the best one was that of ds2 because in ds3 there is absolutely no point in pumping it after 50 you get almost no returns as of FP just some spell slots every 10 points which is way too much. In ds2 you get to have extra spell casts depending on what spell you use and this is much more different because say you can cast a spell 3 times, once you are able to cast it 4 times that is a 33% increase in number of casts, making it very important for late game spells and less inportant for early game spells and thus you are encouraged to invest in it as it is very rewarding later on. In ds3 it is just as rewarding for big and small spells alike and it actually benefits small spells more because say you can cast 10 times a small spell and 4 times a big spell. If you add say 5 points to attunement and your FP bar is 10% larger now, you get an extra cast for the small spell but none for the big spell and it ticks me off so much. And finally the comparison of pure str vs pure dex. A pure dex can use straight swords, curved swords, katanas, spears, rapiers and daggers and claws. A pure str can use fist wpns, shields, hammers, axes, great hammers, great axes and UGS. For PvE it's not that much of difference. But for PvP pure dex has a world of advantage over pure str except if you're using shields as an offensive tool which is actually the most viable choice for pure str by 2H it, it becomes nearly unbreakable and the attack is as fast as an axe.

Honestly in ds3 everytime i think of str i ditch it and go for dex and everytime i think of luck i pump dex first until i get my hands on a blood gem when half of the game is done. Everytime i want to try out a big weapon i think of all the investments i need in endurance and vitality and end up ditching it. What i'm left with is a dex hybrid because i don't want to go anywhere near being a pure caster with the ds3 attunement system. So either a dex hybrid a pure dex or a str shield. Thank you fromsoft for this shitty work have a good day.

I hope we don't see this in elden ring.
