When has your OCD actually helped you?
I think I speak for all of us here when I say OCD fucking sucks.
But, my therapist recently asked me an interesting question. When has your OCD actually helped you?
For me, it was the other day at work. I have a ritual of tapping the door key to the handle before I leave (self-locking door) When I realised I had the wrong key in my hand. If I hadn't of had the 1,000000 fucking voices in my head demanding for me to complete a ritual I would have locked the keys into the storeroom.
They also like how I can merchandise stock based on what feels right to me, which turns out to be aesthetically pleasing
It got me on an interesting thought path of even though it sucks, I wouldn't be the person I am today without it.
