Transmedicalists are racist. Period. At this point in our state of humanity, we can offer resources and support to those who want to transition. Your comfort here disillusions the traumas and perspectives on trans people of color, especially those from developing countries.

All of the transmeds I’ve met have been deplorable racists. I’m talking about white transmeds because transmeds who are poc are just kiss asses and there’s a higher standard for us to pass. I know what I said is pretty bold and it’s a multi layered subject to get into, but the fact of the matter is they’re being racist gatekeepers about what their notion and presentation of gender is. Like bitch we’re trans..... we are already defying what most of society thinks of us.

I don’t have a lot of time but the main point I want to make here is that we live in a country that’s relatively safer to live in as a trans individual. There’s evidence behind this and I work with trans immigrants who apply for asylum here. We have much greater access to therapy, medications, and experienced surgeons. I am a trans male immigrant myself, and let me tell you that there’s barely any statistics or information on us. Transitioning has been a difficult experience but I am thankful to do it in the safest position possible. I used the resources I had to my advantage.

It’s a huge disservice to all of us to prevent people from using these resources and to figure themselves out. The transgender community has shaped the current safety net for LGBT people, and we will continue to provide that safety net for others in the future. Preventing people from using these resources that we worked hard to establish is violence, even if that person is still questioning. Let’s say they have to de transition? We should have the resources to ethically help them and not ostracize them, rather encourage them to be their best selves.

We will go absolutely nuts if we tried to gatekeep everyone, I’m not going to lie, I’ve been skeptical about other trans guys when I was younger, but in reality, they will do whatever they want and I will do whatever I want. They will see how people treat them vs how people will treat me. The most we can do is mind our business and have the resources there. If they de transition and live a life as a straight woman, then that’s that. Where will you be by the time that happens? Hopefully living your best life too, i would imagine? I recognize that there could be an issue about these “fake” trans people taking up space from “real” trans people, but for the most part we ignore the people we don’t want to see.

It absolutely blows my mind that transmeds don’t know the difference between gender expression and identity. It’s not rocket science but we all know why you want to gatekeep. Anyway Kalvin Vagina, you can’t change the future of the transgender community and will continue to live in your own circle of racist ideology, while the rest of us will keep people from Yknow, killing themselves. We need to lessen the stigma of detransitioning and allow ourselves to work on bettering the community by focusing on things that actually matter: housing, medical care, litigation, networking, etc. Not what Skylar Kyler is posting on a fem trans guy forum.
