I hate how so many intactivists push foreskin restoration so aggressively and promise dramatic results.

Rant

It sets expectations so high, but the disappointment just adds insult to injury. That was my experience. I wish I never did it. If anything it made matters even worse. No sensitivity improvement and it looks worse than it did before I started.

IF YOU HAVE LITTLE TO NO FRENULUM YOU SHOULD NOT RESTORE. I REPEAT, IF YOU HAVE LITTLE TO NO FRENULUM YOU SHOULD NOT RESTORE!!!

Some guys were circumcised in their 20s and restored in their 30s and found a 80% likeness of feeling they were intact again.

I'm sorry you feel this way, people just want to give others hope to work towards change.

I can't remember much of my frenelum having much sensitivity, and my boyfriend is uncut and he isn't really that bothered by it. Everyone is different and work in different ways 😊

I'm intact, I encourage cut guys to restore and it has nothing to do with "restoring" nerve endings or having any hopes of bringing back feeling to a nonexistent frenulum. My reason for being pro resto is only to reduce keratinization of the glans. I make a lube that has coconut oil, cocoa butter, vitamin e and aloe in it. One of my ex's glans looked like an old worn out piece of shoe leather when we got together. He got a tlc tugger and used the lube/lotion I make and after a year he had noticeable results. His glans was noticeably smoother and he had a lot more skin there which made masturbation a lot easier. Will foreskin "restoration" ever completely return ALL lost sensation? Nope sure won't. Does it at least help? Yep, sure does. Like I've said before, I was second degree burnt and a lot of it happened on my arm. I didn't have to have skin grafting but the skin/scar tissue on my arm did get tight and was rather painful when it first grew back. I had to endure a lot of painful therapy to get full motion in my arm back without excruciating pain but in time I was able to do it. I still have a scar on my arm which affects the look/feel but by working at it I did improve it some. Also I was burned by water and my foreskin did have some of the water/chemical sprayed on it too. I have a scar on my foreskin from it.

I honestly believe there is too much ā€œhypeā€ surrounding the frenulum. I was circumcised as an infant with an intact frenulum but, due to the way I was circumcised I was bound at-one-point-or-another to develop frenulum breve, So, I unfortunately had to get it removed. I worried about nerve loss but, I haven’t experienced any changes at all. I haven’t hypersensitivity nor hyposensitivity. I believe the issue with some isn’t due to the lack of a penile frenulum but rather if you have an ā€œAmerican Styleā€ Circumcision which is removing as much of the prepuce as possible inner and outer skin and some shaft skin included. As for foreskin restoration it’s more of a marketing-term. As, you aren’t truly getting your foreskin back but rather stretching shaft skin to imitate the prepuce. Results will vary by person due to many factors (Age, diet, biochemistry, etc)

P.S It’s important to note that negative thoughts can lead to negative outlook(s). Break that cycle and keep a positive mental attitude.

I present foreskin restoration as an option that one should consider. I try to provide information but that is it.

I think all sources of information on foreskin restoration advise what cannot be restored, so it is not a fraud.

The reason that I do it, is because many have found it emotionally and psychologically helpful.

https://en.intactiwiki.org/index.php/Psychological_issues_of_male_circumcision#Depression.2C_rage.2C_and_grief_in_circumcised_men

https://en.intactiwiki.org/index.php/Foreskin_restoration#Emotional.2C_psychological.2C_and_psychiatric_aspects

The decision to restore or not restore is one that should be made by the individual and no one else.

Has your glans and inner mucosal tissue dekeratinized?

7
Tobygaby•

You asked the key question, I am circumcised as an adult (I have 1/3 of foreskin with frenulum, all keratinized), and what I miss most is the hypersensitivity of the glans, I do not worry about having a foreskin again, but I would need a prosthesis covering the glans so that I do not rub with my pants and live having erections in the street.

The solution to know the sensitivity of an intact penis is the dekeratinization of the glans, you all underestimate it.

the frenulum only has a little more sensitivity than the glans, the big difference is between a keratinized and non-keratinized glans

You love having erections in the street? Why?

Tobygaby•

? , I like to have the sensitivity, the excitation, as I came from nature, the question would be because you don't like the sensibility and sensations?

Something I've noticed is that a lot of restorers don't take into account enough is the fact that everyone is different and every circumcision is different, sometimes to an extreme degree.

With the "beauty cut" circumcision style, the scar line is intentionally made to sit fused proximal to or onto the sulcus of the glans. It's stuck there.

If you have a cut like this and "tug the scar line", as restorers often recommend, you're going to damage yourself by tearing open an old wound and/or putting a great deal of stress on the inside of your shaft. Few people bring this up.

I'd post a picture of the style I'm talking about, but since this is a SFW subreddit I obviously cannot. However, Hugh Young described it well:

"beauty cut"

Euphemism for a low, tight circumcision in which the maximum amount of mucosa is removed and the scar lies in the sulcus. Causes the greatest loss of erogenous tissue. The penis's owner may not agree that it is beautiful.

http://www.circumstitions.com/Glossary2.html

Since there is no inner foreskin left with a cut like this, and the scar line is tightly fused in place, there is zero potential benefit from tugging the scar line. It can only harm.

I have that "beauty cut" like what kind of idiotic and unintelligent human looked at my dick as an infant and was like. "GoT tO MaKe HiS PeNiS PrEtTy!"

If I could meet that human today. Id have some choice words and a needle for their eyes.

That's not true. The scarline contains the original nerve endings of the foreskin where clamp was applied or the freehand cut was made. It's absolutely beneficial to tug there

Hearing about it makes my blood boil. I have expressed my opinions about it in a thread a couple months ago, but the main point is this:

If you're restoring, you're growing a skin sleeve out of the skin you already have. It doesn't restore the nerve endings, or the amputated specialized tissue. It's a simulacrum and it is profoundly offensive to suggest that it has any chance of measuring up to the real foreskin.

As an added bonus, Christmas is coming. I am wondering if my cunt of a mother finds the courage to actually contact me this year with an apology. I hope not, kinda. I don't want to have a rage outburst on Christmas...

I do not think anyone has ever suggested that a restored foreskin is equal to the natural foreskin.

There is a psychological benefit to regaining control over one's own body that is probably as important as any sexual improvement.

Then why is it called 'foreskin restoration', when it doesn't restore a foreskin and what is grown is not a foreskin?

*Regaining the idea of control. The power is long gone forever.

4
FickleCaptain•

The name was chosen long ago and not by me. I am not asking you to restore.

2
donzok•

thanks to Sininenn for saying this.

I agree.

Since my adult circumcision (due to phimosis), i instantly got severe ED. Never been the same since. Can’t get erect. Cannot even masturbate. No morning nor spontaneous erections.

I’ve realized recently, that all the bad behavior, relationship decisions, acting out, sexual interests and generally failure at life, primarily can be traced back to that ill- or even misinformed decision, and the urologist who cut away my sex life and manhood.

1
18Apollo18RIC•

Do you even understand how mitosis and cell division work? What you grow is almost exactly the same as an intact dude's foreskin

1
SininennCut as a kid/teen•

Oh really? So you magically regrow the specialized tissue that's been removed, like the ridged band or the frenulum?

Stop trying to bullshit me

It is true that the frenulum is perhaps the most sensitive part of the penis. I was cut when I was seven and I still have those insane moments of pleasure that I had when I was intact. I don't think it's 100% frenulum but also the inner skin surrounding the frenulum.

Most restorations today are ineffective as they just focus on covering the glans. To have an effective restoration you must have lots of inner skin. The glans must touch only inner skin. Focusing on manual methods "Repositioning the scar line to the very tip" will give you very good results aesthetics wise and sensitivity wise.

Manual methods overall provide faster results. There's nothing glamorous about having a piece of plastic around your cock for 5 hours a day. It's even more discouraging when the results are pretty slow. Instead literally take it into your "own hands" and sculpt a penis you're proud of. Use cyclical tugging.

We will never get everything back. This is a fact. But I've heard anecdotal evidence that one can get up to 95% back if they restore using the method I've described above. The inventor of this method has a beautiful foreskin that will fool even the most picky individuals.

same OP! I personally think foreskin restoration is a massive COPE. It looks super ugly, will not restore the functionality, will not help ED, and will not regain the lost sensitive and unique nerves contained in the foreskin.

It’s just a cope, and not a cure. Not even close

But honestly what can we do beside that?

I saw some of the responses here and to be more accurate, everyone has a foreskin remnant after circumcision, as is inner foreskin and outer foreskin, and stretching this remnant is recreating pretty much the same tissue and function (except for frenulum and frenar band). Perhaps you aren’t happy with your restoration because your new foreskin is comprised mostly of outer skin? Outer skin is not mucosal or nearly as sensitive as the inner skin. As for the frenulum, I saw a lot of intact guys on forums who said that the glans and inner skin are the most sensitive spots and the frenulum comes after that, and the frenular nerves run quite deep anyways. I can confirm that I don’t have a lot of frenulum but the sensations from there are incredible and when it will dekeratinize it should be even better, so heck yeah I would restore OP.

How is it possible that foreskin restoration made it worse?
