I passed the Solutions Architect Associate!

I've spent the past 6 months preparing for this exam. This was the hardest I've worked for an exam since high school. I'm not in a role where I get to use the full extent of AWS right now and spent a lot of time learning about networking and AWS storage for the first time.

Thanks to this sub for being a great source of resources and posting encouragement I could easily find when I was stressed. Here's some of those resources I utilized: I used Jon Bonso for practice exams and really liked the explanations. LinuxAcademy had a bunch of great videos and I liked getting to test out the resources I hadn't used. I haven't seen it talked about much in here, but Brett McLaughlin's exam book Solutions Architect Practice Tests was really good. I started realizing I needed a lot of questions about specific topics to get my head around it, more than watching videos. Those practice questions were exactly what I needed and I highly recommend working through those.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to do next. I'd like to be able to be able to use my skillset more, but I'd also like to build up to the Solutions Architect Professional certification. If you have advice on what you did or wish you did after getting a cert, I'd love to hear it. Thanks again for being a great community.

What’s your current role? Why are you getting these certifications? What are you hoping to obtain by getting them?

Congrats on getting the SAA!

The Professional exam is on another level. I don't mean to dissuade you but be prepared to learn a whole lot more.
