[Request]How to thoroughly clean the inside of a vacuum
Full story: I work for an Air BnB hosting company doing cleaning for their apartments. One of the guests has decided to use the vacuum in the apartment to vacuum up something wet, so now when you use the vacuum it spews out this rancid smell and this dirty foam starts showing up from the filter and the tube.
So, as you can guess, I'm looking for some advice on how to clean the thing so it can be put back into the apartment. It's a cheap and nasty bagless vac from target(australia) with no visible brand, but it's relatively new so I don't want to go straight to the replacing it solution.

Sorry if this isn't the right place. If there's a better place for this request I'll delete and repost there.

Remove the filter, thoroughly wash it, and allow it to dry. Replace any non washasble filters. Clean the dirt tank out with mild soap and water and let it dry. Clean the cyclone assembly as well if you can take it apart and allow everything to dry completely. There is likely water in the motor too which may cause this thing to fail soon. If it's cheap it may be worth replacing and just having Air BnB reimburse you for it.
Yeah, this is what I was worried about. Thanks for the help.
