I just beat Dark Souls 2...

And have therefore finished the Souls series not counting Demon Souls (I'm pc only). I'm immensely proud of this moment and dont really have a lot of people to share this with that would get it. I started with Dark Souls 3 around its release and rage quit during the tutorials as I was trying with a mouse and keyboard. About 6 months later I got an xbox controller to play rocket league and gave the game another shot. I had no understanding of the game mechanics and beat up to the abyss watchers without help (using any embers) but gave up after countless hours. About 6 months later a friend told me that he was playing it and started explaining the lore to me. He's a different type of gamer so he really got into researching the mechanics and explained a ton to me. I'm super competitive so I had to beat him to the finish and I started using the fan made wiki sites to help my playthrough and really fell into the rabbit hole. I realized that this was the kind of game I had always imagined as the perfect game when I was a kid. Over a year ago I beat it, it took me 200 hours and maybe 2 years over the span with breaks. On to the next one. When Dark Souls remastered went on sale I picked it up and played it over the last year. Got stuck and started Dark Souls 2 (and Sekiro) and was stuck on all the games. I lost my job a few months ago and have been having a really hard time finding a new one but have had the time to finish DS:R and DS2 in the last few weeks. I am immensely proud as this game did not come easy to me at all. I usually play FPS games but I can say that this is hands down my favorite series of games in so many ways. Just had to share, hope to hear about some of your experiences! On to Sekiro...

I can't decide which I like best. Probably the first but they are all great for different reasons.

Way to go! I love the Dark Souls series, and DS2 was my favorite (though all three are fantastic).

Good luck with Sekiro! That's a fun one too.
