Steel Framed 9mm
I might be looking to add a steel framed 9mm to the collection if I can find a good deal.
What do you have and why do you like it? I'm open to any and all suggestions!
Thanks.

CZ Shadow 2 for $1200, or a SP-01 Shadow for around $600 depending on your budget.
Great pistol
Some more info will help make an informed decision. What’s your intended use? Do you have any plans to compete in any disciplines? Do you have any other features in mind that are important to you?
Is an alloy frame acceptable? I’m not big on polymer frames myself, but alloy frames are fine, I believe the M9a3 and the sig 226 both have alloy frames while the CZ 75 and shadow 2 are both steel.
I should have clarified earlier. Recreational shooting for now and likely IPSC, IDPA and eventually 3 gun later on.
CZ 75 for the win
If you have interest in IPSC or IDPA later, why not just got shadow 2 and play with it and get good then by the time you want to shoot in a discipline, you’re already very comfortable and familiar with your gun.
CZ 75b. Spectacular 9mm. I hear the shadow and sp 01 are also top notch.
cz 75, sig p226, berreta 92. but the chinese and turkish copies of those guns are good too
sig p226.
because they are sig p226s.
not the race gun of a cz shadow, but they are super smooth guns. a friend got a mk 25 navy and loves it.
P226 all the way. Love mine.
What's the steel frame mean?
CZ Shadow 2 is like a better version of the Jericho 941.
Jericho 941. Gotta be a space cowboy.
Such an underrated pistol.
When I got my license I went to the handgun range and looked at a whole bunch of different guns in action. Friendliest bunch, must have shot at least 20 different guns that morning. But the 941 just felt right, and when I found a nice used one it became my first restricted purchase. Still have it.
a pistol so nice I bought it twice!
First one is a new production DA/SA slide-safety decocker and is just a great shooter.
Then I snapped up one of the SA-only frame-safety surplus models brought in back in October and bought a set of bebop LOK grips for full-on weebery.
that said, CZ Shadow 2 is basically perfect for OP's intended use.
