What’s next in the story?

Im glad someone else mentioned it. I knew finn was strong with the force, especially in TROS. I think his character was done a great disservice during this series. He spent the whole film chasing after rey. I hope he gets to become a jedi in the next trilogy and I hope he finds out where his parents are ( and if he's possibly a descendant of mace windu...??? ) Rey got that closure and he deserves it too.
Mace windu needs a movie where he survived rots and fights Vader
Funny you say that about him surviving because I just read this blog post and it broke my brain a little

Snoke origins are explained in the new movie, also he is like 8ft tall
I know it's just fun to read fan theories

All joking aside, I wouldn’t mind seeing someone like Dave Filoni be in charge of an animated series adaptation of the Skywalker Saga.
So what will happen to Rey because her story isn’t done. She didn’t abandon the way of the Jedi, she made a new lightsaber
Maybe she starts an Academy with Finn as her first student. I think there was a lot of “foreshadowing” in TFA and now TRoS that Finn is force sensitive. But who knows. Maybe they won’t do anything with that at all or I’m reading way to much into it. Lol
I believe JJ said in an interview that the thing Finn wanted to tell Rey was he could feel the force too
Yup he did confirm this

Was Ezra Bridger ever confirmed to be dead, because I was always under the impression that he was taken out to the unknown regions by the Purgals at the end of Rebels. He could have ended up somewhat in the same region where Palpatine was, and Rey could find him. He could pass on some knowledge to her, they could talk, and a new threat could be introduced. There would have been plenty of time that Ezra would have been out there, as he is a day younger than Leia (if I’m remembering correctly). He would have had plenty of time to explore the unknown regions and find ancient force things/techniques/temples. This is just some wild speculation on my part, but I though it could be a cool concept to explore. It has the potential to lead to a whole bunch of side quests or adventures.
Palpatine returns because he has access to mysterious and unnatural powers and no one is ever really gone. And new rebels have to fight the new first empire final.
I’m hoping anything other than a Skywalker storyline. We have a franchise with so much lore that is it rivals Tolkien. Let’s use it.
Most likely episode X will come out in about 5-10 years. Don’t know what the story will entail.

Do you recon? Ever since Disney took over, they produce a new movie every other year.
They’re taking a break since they just wrapped up the Skywalker saga. Doubt it will be a full decade before the next one, but likely a few years
But according to Kathleen Kennedy there is another trilogy coming up - scheduled for release in December 2022, December 2024 and December 2026. So every 2 years. Even after David Benioff and D.B. Weiss dropped out of the project, the studio planned to proceed as scheduled.
Yeah that's the next trilogy but the continuation of the main saga from where the Skywalker one left off won't be continued until the next 10 years or so
I think it should be left alone.
