Falling into darkness. Is this normal?
I finally have been able to astral project for the 2nd time. Instead of simply freaking out after being right in front of my ceiling before propelling back into my body like my first time, i fell for a few seconds into darkness.
I felt as if a mosquito (a very large one) was buzzing straight into my ear as soon as i felt the sleep paralysis coming. I slapped my ear when this happened. This happened twice. After the 2nd time, i realized that it wasn't a mosquito and quickly got back into paralysis and projected out of my body while lying on my left side.
I saw my dark wall. I tried to will myself into going into space and kept thinking. "MOON! MOON!" But instead of rising, i fell into darkness. I literally felt the wind blowing past my face. I panicked a little and found myself looking up at the same wall again from my floor as if i was lying on my stomach. I tried again, but this time i fell even deeper and i closed my eyes as i screamed. Then it was over.
I drank 3 heinekens earlier in the day so i'm pretty sure i wasn't grounded properly. I also took maeng-da kratom afterwards about 3 hours before trying to project. I guess being grounded is crucial. I didn't care about this because i was desperate to see if astral projection was real or not which it is. I didn't care if it was going to be beautiful or pure hell. I just needed to know. Just needed to verify that my first experience wasn't a lucid dream.
Did this happen because i wasn't properly grounded? Was i falling into the lower astral realm? Anyone else experienced this before? Appreciate any insights. Thank you
