Where are you seeing this?

I just checked my history at [youtube.com/feed/history](https://youtube.com/feed/history) (with "Watch History" selected) and I'm only seeing a list of the videos I've watched on YouTube - my YTTV history isn't listed there.

**EDIT:**

Ah... found it. From the YouTube history link above click **MANAGE ALL ACTIVITY**, which takes you to [https://myactivity.google.com/activitycontrols/youtube?utm\_medium=web&utm\_source=youtube](https://myactivity.google.com/activitycontrols/youtube?utm_medium=web&utm_source=youtube) and on THAT page it shows the history of both YouTube TV and YouTube comingled.

So if you don't want to see YTTV history, use the first link, but if you ONLY want a history of what you've seen on YTTV, it looks like you can turn off tracking regular YouTube history - but I don't know if that also eliminates history from YTTV.

I notice this on my Firestick 4ks. Both histories are intermingled in the YouTube history.

I noticed this starting a couple of weeks ago for me, using both apps on a Roku Streaming Stick Plus.

I also noticed that when searching on YTTV for content it will return results for regular videos on YT.

So, my thought is that Google is likely to eventually merge both services into a single app with YT content showing up as on demand content and YTTV content partitioned off from non-subscribers who will see the live content options available as a way of advertising.

It really wouldn't be that different from how Hulu handles their app (except YTTV is actually integrated WELL with its on demand content where the Hulu interface is straight up trash.)

Hm, it seems to be on the Apple TV only. Good question.

Its seems fairly obvious that quite a bit of the back end code for the early releases of YTTV was stolen from the YouTube and Google Accounts code bases. Hopefully, as the user base grows and the differences in user cases for YT and YTTV become more apparent we will get rewrites of major sections.

The whole History section is one that needs major work. Pause Watch History may make sense for YT, but it only cause grief for YTTV. YTTV needs to be able to manually set and unset episodes to various states, and not just unwatched or watched, but also to-be-watched (or re-watched), to-be-ignored (and hidden), etc. Also the ability to search the DVR for each of these states and order the results (as playlists?).

And it's ok if these features are initially only available on the website or Android or iOS apps where you can build a decent User Interface. The service shouldn't be limited to the capabilities of its worst platform UIs like it seems to be now.

Why is my YTTV history intermingled with my YT history?! This makes zero sense. I don’t need a history of every live tv channel I’ve ever watched. They need to bifurcate these, pronto. What a mess.
