"why would I want to be around anyone like you" this was the reply from my own mother who up until I DA was very close... I told her that she's welcome at my house anytime and that we can still have a relationship... And that quote above is what she said... Completely heartbroken

Ouch. thats a personal attack, too.

Im glad you told her she's welcomed. I love combating hate with love. Heaping fiery coals on their head.

My very pimi mum in law texted her long pomo daughter who just turned 40 today "maybe you can be like Moses who took 40 years to be meek and teachable. There's still a bit of time left"

OK, when she read that to me, I said :" wasn't Moses 80 when God started talking to him?"

Don't let details get iin the way for a good jab at your daughter on her 40th birthday.

My mum sent me a text a few weeks back that included some of these fantastically manipulative phrases (I don't blame her, she's in deep)...

"You made your choice years ago and by rejecting Jehovah you rejected us [my family]"

"This world isn't going to go on. Come back before it's too late"

"Please think long and hard about the future. And what's happening in the world. I don't want that dream I had to be a reality. Looking for you in the new world and panicking you not there"

Ya. I mean, i can empathize too. i would have been upset if a friend left while i was PIMI.

I know it's just like a comment misperception it's stupid when you make it your own you leave it because you know it's full of crap

I always true to present my "lack of faith" in their organization as my own loyalty to Jehovah. I left FOR Jehovah.

People that never really experienced this kind of shunning really have no idea. I remember wondering why ExJWs were so angry. But having left and having to really feel the dripping despise is harder than i ever could have imagined.

Jehovah God Jesus whatever they want to call him have your own faith that's what he would want from all of us

squidz97OP•

I dont believe in the God of the Bible. But it was my quest for truth that led me out. And if it helps them feel better that I did it for Jehovah, than that's how I will present it. Especially considering they think we cant even say the word Jehovah.

My sister told me people in the hall are her real family and she holds them closer then she does me..... that really hurt coming from my eldest sister.

2
Aposta-fish•

That’s typical of all jws now.

My mom told me: You gave up your whole life to serve Satan and gave up your chance to ever see your grandmother(who is dead) again

Cant remember her exact words, but when I told my mother I no longer wanted to go to meetings or be a Witness, she cried out about all her parenting being a waste of time. As if to say, if only she had known after all her hard work, I'd still end up a failure to her, she wouldn't have bothered putting any effort into me

“I wish I could say things would be like they used to be but we both know that will never happen”

"I regret that you were on my wedding" - my brother said that to me.
