Can changing distances on bumble give you more matches?

I have heard with tinder the longer you're off it the more matches you get, very odd but I've tested this and it works. Apparently with Bumble, if you change locations then you get more matches because you're in a new area. Can anyone validate this? If this is true how well would location spoof apps work in combination with bumble.
