Is the lawyer dodging us?
GF is in the middle of a child custody case with her abuser/the father. Old lawyer has decided she wants to quit the case. We found a new lawyer who has now rescheduled the initial meeting 3 times for family emergencies. There is a hearing scheduled in 2 weeks for the lawyer change, and we have not heard anything from the new lawyer. What do we do? Find someone else? Give the new lawyer another chance? Please help! We are in Michigan.
